Sarah Chussler, Esq., Associate – February 2016
Ms. Chussler handles our estate proceedings, including Administration, Probate, and Kinship proceedings. In addition, she prepares for and attends Fair Hearings on behalf of the firm’s institutional and private clients who have been issued inadequate Medicaid determinations. She assists with Article 81 Guardianship matters from the commencement of the proceeding, the preparation of the Annual and Final Accounts and matters concerning the Guardian’s compliance.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Chussler worked as an Associate Attorney first for a solo practitioner focusing on matrimonial and family law, and then with a mid-size Long Island law firm representing corporate clients in civil and commercial litigation matters. Ms. Chussler previously served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Arthur M. Diamond, Justice of the Nassau County Supreme Court, where she assisted the Court with matrimonial and Article 81 proceedings, and upon graduation from law school she served as a Legal Fellow with the 15th Judicial Circuit Court in and for Palm Beach County, Florida, assisting the judiciary in adoption and small estate probate proceedings.
Ms. Chussler received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Politics from the Pennsylvania State University, with minors in French and history, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in the state of New York and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.
