Gillian Ballantine-Alman, Esq., Associate – July 2014

Ms. Ballentine-Alman handles Article 81 Guardianship proceedings on behalf of institutionalized individuals and private clients, alike.  She counsels clients with regards to their planning, which includes powers of attorney, health care proxies, living wills, trusts and last will and testaments.  She also represents clients in various Surrogate’s Court matters such as administration and probate proceedings.  Ms. Ballentine-Alman attends Fair Hearings for hospitals, nursing homes, and private clients.

Prior to joining Miller & Milone, P.C., Ms. Ballentine-Alman worked as an Elder Law Attorney for Touro Law Center representing senior citizens in various civil matters.  She also worked as a Law Guardian/Attorney for the Child at the Legal Aid Society of Rockland County, Inc. where she represented children in custody, visitation, neglect, juvenile delinquency and other Family Court and Supreme Court matters.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from Rutgers University and her Juris Doctor from New York Law School.  Ms. Ballentine-Alman is licensed to practice law in the state of  New York, state of New Jersey, and U.S. District Court, Eastern District.  She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and Nassau County Bar Association.
